You're Not Alone
According to the Journal of Medicine, sexual dysfunction is highly prevalent in both men and women, ranging from up to 52% for men and up to 63% in women. As mentioned above, it can be a result of a wide range of physical and/or psychological issues. It is something you do not have to live with or go at alone. There are prescription medications available now to help both men and women improve their sexual desire and get that passion back in the relationship and the bedroom.
Men, ED is more common than you might think. As a matter of fact, it is estimated that 30 million men in just the US alone have experienced erectile dysfunction. It has been shown that ED correlates with each decade of life; 50% of men in their 50s, 60% of men in their 60s, 70% of men in their 70s experience ED.
Treatments
Bremelanotide (marketed as Vyleesi) and Flibanserin (marketed as Addyi) are newer medications which are FDA approved for hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) to enhance sexual desire and arousal in women. They both work differently and are delivered differently; one by injection and one by mouth, respectively. There are also other options. For instance, DHEA Vaginal Cream has been shown to increase libido, as well as improve mood, fatigue, and a sense of well-being.
PDE5 inhibitors are a class of medications that cause vasodilation and have been proven to strengthen and prolong erections. They are both safe and effective. We at Next Level TRT offer three different PDE5 inhibitors; Sildenafil, Tadalafil, and Vardenafil. Each of these medications work just a little different. You may add these to your Testosterone Regimen or as a stand alone treatment option. Speak to one of our providers to explore which of these medications would be right for you.
